TNGASA 2024 Rank List – UG Admissions Rank List and Counselling Schedule 2024
The Tamil Nadu Government’s Single Window Admission System (TNGASA) is an online platform designed to streamline the admission process for undergraduate courses in various colleges affiliated with the state. It aims to simplify the admission procedure for students by providing a centralized system for applying to multiple colleges and courses through a single application.
Through TNGASA, eligible candidates can register, apply, and participate in the counseling process for admissions to undergraduate courses such as engineering, arts, science, commerce, and others offered by government, government-aided, and self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu.
The TNGASA process typically involves the following steps:
- Registration: Candidates need to register on the TNGASA portal tngasa.in by providing necessary personal and academic details.
- Application Submission: After registration, candidates can fill out the online application form, indicating their preferred colleges and courses.
- Document Verification: Once the application submission period is over, there may be a phase for document verification to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the information provided by candidates.
- Merit List Publication: After document verification, the authorities release a merit list based on factors such as academic performance and category reservation.
- Counseling Rounds: Qualified candidates are then called for counseling rounds where they can choose their preferred colleges and courses based on their ranks and availability of seats.
- Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted to candidates based on their choices, merit rank, and availability of seats in respective colleges and courses.
- Confirmation of Admission: After seat allotment, candidates need to confirm their admission by paying the requisite fees and completing any further formalities specified by the authorities.
TNGASA 2024 – UG Rank List
The officials will issue three rank lists in the respective college websites for admission to UG courses in the state. These include Tamil rank list, English rank list, and general rank list.

| Tamil rank list | This will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12 Tamil out of 100. This list is used for admission into BA Tamil Literature or BLit courses. |
| English rank list | This will be prepared only on the basis of Class 12 English marks. This list is used for admission into BA English Literature. |
| General rank list | This will be prepared based on the remaining 4 subjects out of 400 marks. This will be used for admission into all other BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, and BSW courses. |
