TN Govt Arts and Science Colleges Admissions 2026

TNGASA 2026 is the online admission portal for undergraduate courses in Tamil Nadu Government Arts & Science Colleges.

The online registration process for Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science Colleges Admissions (TNGASA) 2026 has officially begun as of May 7, 2026. This year, there are approximately 1.27 lakh seats available across 181 government colleges for various undergraduate (UG) programs.

  • Other UG programmes in Government Arts & Science Colleges across Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility

  • Students who passed 12th Standard (+2) can apply.
  • Tamil Nadu students are primarily eligible.

Rank List Preperation: 

Tamil Rank List

  • This will be prepared only on the basis of Tamil Marks (out of 100 Marks) scored in +2. This list is used for admission into B.A. Tamil Literature / B.Lit. courses.

English Rank List

  • This will be prepared only on the basis of English Marks (out of 100 Marks) scored in +2. This list is used for admission into B.A. English Literature.

General Rank List 

  • This will be prepared based on remaining 4 subjects (out of 400 Marks). This will be used for admission into all other B.Com. / B.B.A. / B.A. / B.Sc. / B.C.A. / B.S.W.

Fee Structure

The payment can be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI (GPay/PhonePe).

General/OBC Categories: ₹50 (₹48 application fee + ₹2 registration fee)

SC/ST Categories: ₹2 (Application fee is waived; only the registration fee applies).

Application Process

The entire process is centralized and conducted online through the official portal: www.tngasa.in.

  • Registration: Create a user account on the portal.

  • Personal Info: Enter your personal and contact details.

  • Special Reservation: Fill in details for quotas like Sports, Ex-Servicemen, or Differently-abled (if applicable).

  • Academic Info: Enter your Class 12 (HSC) marks and school details.

  • Choice Filling: Select your preferred colleges and courses. You can apply to multiple colleges through this single application.

  • Payment: Pay the fees based on your category.

  • Upload Documents: Upload the required certificates (TC, Mark sheets, Community certificate, etc.).

  • Download: Save and print the completed application form for future reference
