Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education, started in 1950, is a premier institution of higher education located near the city of Coimbatore. It is a unit of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, which is spread over an area of 300 acres. This institution was the first Autonomous College of Education in India and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai and Re-accredited with ‘A++’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India.
The courses offered by the college are recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education and the Rehabilitation Council of India. The College also takes part in the Associated Schools Projects of UNESCO. The College aims at man-making and character-building education as advocated by Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, and Mahatma Gandhi.
