Annammal College of Education for Women, Thoothukudi
Annammal College of Education was founded in 1962 . Since 2008 the college is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education since 1996. The college offers two year B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes leading to the degree of Bachelor of Education and Master of Education. The M.Ed. programme was commenced in the year 1994-95. The present intake for B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes are 100 Students and 50 Students respectively.
The syndicate of TNTEU has granted recognition to the college to offer research leading to M.Phil. programme from the academic year 2014-2015. The intake for M.Phil programme on part – time / full – time basis is 15.
