TNGASA stands for Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science Colleges Admissions. It is an online admission portal run by the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, for UG (Undergraduate) and PG (Postgraduate) admissions into government arts and science colleges in the state
The Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science Colleges Admission (TNGASA) 2025 online application process commenced on May 7, 2025, and concludes today, May 27, 2025. This centralized admission system facilitates enrollment into 176 government arts and science colleges across Tamil Nadu for undergraduate programs.

TNGASA Rank List 2025
The Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science Colleges Admission (TNGASA) Rank List for 2025 is anticipated to be released in May 2025. Candidates will be able to download the rank list from the official TNGASA website. The Directorate of Collegiate Education, Tamil Nadu, is expected to publish the first merit list in May 2025.
How will the TNGASA Rank List 2025 be prepared ?
This is an important piece of information for the aspirants who applied for admission to the Govt Colleges in Tamil Nadu. Actually, the Authority i,e. the TNGASA will publish the Rank List cum Merit List for the colleges in the respective college websites. Moreover, while declaring the ranks, the board will release three rank list. The details of the three Rank List & the process through which the TNGASA Rank List 2025 is prepared are as follows –
Tamil Rank List
This will be prepared only on the basis of Tamil Marks (out of 100 Marks) scored in +2. This list is used for admission into B.A. Tamil Literature / B.Lit. courses.
English Rank List
This will be prepared only on the basis of English Marks (out of 100 Marks) scored in +2. This list is used for admission into B.A. English Literature.
General Rank List
This will be prepared based on remaining 4 subjects (out of 400 Marks). This will be used for admission into all other B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.B.A. / B.C.A. / B.S.W
